Hollywood Dreamz exists to serve the Hollywood community as well as society at large through a variety of means, including public education campaigns, partnerships with like-minded organizations, community improvement projects, basic needs assistance programs, and other efforts. People come to Hollywood from all over the world filled with dreams of fame, fortune, and a better life ahead. The sad reality, however, is that many of these people find only dashed dreams and a life far bleaker than the vision that brought them there. We consider this unacceptable and believe that Hollywood should continue to represent a beacon of hope for people both locally and all around America and the world.
Our charitable mission is built around five key cornerstones: community, education, health, the environment, and animals. In the community, we seek first to ensure a safe environment for residents and stakeholders, then reach out to the homeless in order to provide food, shelter, job placement, and medical assistance. Our next cornerstone, education, reflects our belief that education is the key to change. By educating the public through mass media campaigns as well as providing educational opportunities for underprivileged individuals, we seek to create a better world, one informed mind at a time. Our commitment to health recognizes that adopting healthy lifestyle habits (regular exercise, avoidance of smoking, healthy eating, and so on) is one of the simplest things a person can do in order to improve quality of life. We recognize that not all health problems are preventable, however, and therefore support research efforts seeking to treat and cure epidemics such as cancer, diabetes, and AIDS. Our next issue of concern, the environment, reflects our commitment to slow down and reverse the destruction of the Earth, our only real home, by getting involved in efforts as diverse as global warming research, rainforest preservation, anti-pollution technologies, and ocean cleanup. Finally, our responsibility to animals stems from an alarm and dismay at rapidly rising extinction rates and near-constant reports of inhumane domestic animal treatment and welfare issues.
We at Hollywood Dreamz are working tirelessly in order to make a lasting impact in each of the key issues mentioned above, and hope that you will choose to help us make these dreamz of a better world come true for all.
